Red Beet 'Red Ball' 2

Beta vulgaris L.

A very high-yielding variety with spherical roots, high juice content, and faint rings. Suitable for long-term winter storage. Intended for summer and fall use. For summer harvest, seeds should be sown around mid-April. For fall-winter harvest, from mid-May to the end of June. Growing season: 100–110 days.

The seed tape facilitates sowing; thanks to the proper spacing of seeds on the tape, it eliminates the need for thinning and ensures good yields.

The package contains 6 meters of seed tape.


Growing conditions:

  1. Prepare the soil by removing stones and raking to level and break up the surface.
  2. Make a shallow furrow in the soil, approx. 1.5 cm deep. Lay out the tape and cover it with a layer of soil.
  3. Water generously and keep the soil moist, preventing it from drying out to facilitate germination.

Sowing: mid-April to June

Harvest: July–October
