Iceberg lettuce – the queen of summer (early variety)

Lactuca sativa L. var. capitata

An attractive early variety ( 50–55 days), resistant to bolting and downy mildew, suitable for spring, summer, and fall cultivation. It forms very large, compact heads, up to 1 kg, composed of crisp, light green leaves with a bubbly surface. Sow 0.5–1 cm deep in March under cover or in April–May in a seedbed for early summer harvest, or from mid-July–August for fall harvest. Requires fertile soil rich in nutrients and water.

Sowing: late March–May; July–August

Harvest: mid-May–July; September–October

Planting spacing: 35x40 cm
