watermelon – Crimson Sweet

Citrullus vulgaris

A variety with high disease resistance and large fruits weighing up to 15 kg. The rind is light green with dark green streaks. The bright red flesh has a very sweet taste and is rich in vitamin C, carotenoids, folic acid, and lycopene; it has almost no seeds. Requires well-drained soil that warms up quickly. Sow seeds in a heated tunnel or cold frame from February to April. Transplant seedlings into the ground after May 15.

Harvest: mid-July–September

Spacing: 150×100 cm
