Black Beauty eggplant

Also known as the love pear, this variety should be grown in humus-rich soil at a temperature of 20–28 °C. It has a long growing season and low tolerance for transplanting. Grow from potted seedlings and transplant to a greenhouse or open ground in the second half of May. Fruits with excellent flavor should be harvested before full ripeness, about a month after flowering. They taste best baked in the oven or grilled after being breaded.
