Blue-green Winter
A late variety, excellent for storage, frost-hardy, overwinters well in the ground, with blue-green leaves and a long, snow-white, bleached stem 25 cm long. Sow in a heated cold frame from February to April or directly into the ground in mid-April for an autumn harvest; in July in a seedbed for an early spring harvest. Transplant seedlings from the cold frame to the ground in May (for fall harvest) or by mid-July (for spring harvest); for July sowings, transplant in late August to September.
