Capsicum annuum L.
A variety with a hot flavor. The elongated red fruits are rich in vitamin C, lycopene, and capsaicin, which gives the fruits their spicy flavor. Recommended for growing in open ground and under cover. Sow in seed trays under cover in mid-March. At 18–20°C, germination occurs after 10–14 days. Sow in open ground in late May. Plant in open ground in sunny, sheltered locations with humus-rich soil.
