Ocimum basilicum

A mix of several aromatic basil varieties differing in aroma, shape, and leaf color. Very easy to grow; can be sown directly into the ground in May or into pots, e.g., on a balcony, from March to April. Basil leaves can be added to dishes raw or dried. They are perfect for Italian cuisine, but also as a seasoning for meats, soups, and salads. Prefers a moist, sunny, and sheltered location.
