A perennial plant, grown in our climate in gardens and on terraces as an annual. The densely branched plants produce multicolored, umbel-like flower clusters at the top, 10–12 cm in diameter. It looks excellent in balcony boxes, pots, bowls, and flower beds. Sow seeds under cover in January–April. At a temperature of 20–25°C, germination occurs after about 2 weeks. Transplant to the ground or containers in May–June. Requires fertile and moist soil. An infusion made from geranium leaves can be used to enhance the flavor of preserves and jams.
