Litmus paper strips allow for quick pH measurement in the range of 1 to 14. The set includes 80 test strips along with a color comparison chart.

Simply dip the strip into the liquid being tested or expose it to the vapor being tested. Within about 15 seconds, the strip will change color. Now simply match the color to the color chart. Litmus strips can be used to measure the pH of water, soil, vapor, saliva, and other prepared solutions.

They are used in aquariums, swimming pools, school laboratories, the food service industry, gardening, and anywhere else where pH measurement is needed.

By dividing a single strip into several parts, you can perform even more measurements (by cutting it into 3 pieces, you can take up to 240 measurements).

Note:Please keep in mind that litmus papers have a significant margin of error, and the results are for reference only. They are not used for detailed laboratory analyses.

Comparison scale:

• 1–3 = strongly acidic

• 4–6 = acidic

• 7 = neutral

• 8–11 = alkaline

• 12–14 = highly alkaline
